Geotechnical Tools
A structured collection of calculation tools covering key areas of geotechnical engineering, from site characterisation to analytical methods.
Shear Strength Tools
Effective Cohesion (c') from Undrained Shear Strength (cu)
Selects cautious soil-type defaults for c' and keeps c' = 0.1cu as an optional empirical alternative.
Soil Profile Plot
By default, normally consolidated clay uses a selected low c′ value within 0-5 kPa, while sand / gravel uses c′ = 0. Use the optional c′ = 0.1cu path only when that empirical interpretation is intended.
When samples are imported from Projects and Boreholes with the project tool lock enabled, sample depth is read-only here (edit under Account > Projects). cu is filled from saved project parameters when present; otherwise, when the sample has PI and N60 exists for that depth (e.g. from SPT corrections saved to the project), cu is computed as f1 × N60 like Undrained Shear Strength (cu) from SPT (N60) and Plasticity Index (PI). You can still override cu manually.
Narrow screen: swipe the table horizontally to see all columns and inputs.

Save Profile Analysis
Save current profile inputs and plot images to the active project folder.
Cloud save is available from Bronze upward. Register for an account to use cloud save. You can still use tools with manual inputs.
Select a project/borehole from the top-right dropdown first.
