Shear Strength Tools

Undrained Shear Strength (cu) from SPT (N60) and Plasticity Index (PI)

Uses Stroud (1974) PI-based f1 interpretation and estimates cu = f1 N60 (kPa) for cohesive-soil screening.

Soil Layer Profile

Enter PI and corrected N60 by layer. The tool derives f1 from Stroud (1974) PI anchors and computes cu = f1N60 for each layer.

If available, N60 is auto-filled from Standard Penetration Test (SPT) Corrections for N₆₀ and (N₁)₆₀. Manual override is always allowed.
