Small-Strain Shear Modulus (Gmax) from Shear Wave Velocity (Vs)

Small-strain shear modulus is obtained from the standard elastic wave relationship using shear wave velocity and either mass density or unit weight.

Soil Profile Plot

Build a small-strain stiffness profile by borehole and sample depth: enter unit weight and Vs at each depth. Mass density is derived automatically from unit weight (ρ = γ / g).
